TCU Student Government offers something for everyone. There are three main ways to get involved in SGA. We hope you will find your place.
Frog Aides is a program designed specifically for first-year students. Frog Aides develops student leaders by: creating an instant network of friends and mentors, teaching students the “ins and outs” of TCU Student Government, providing hands-on experience planning campus-wide events and implementing student programs, and empowering first-year students to make a difference at TCU. As a Frog Aide, you'll interact with TCU’s top student leaders and mentors. You won’t learn by listening—you’ll actually learn by doing, and you’ll impact the student body along the way. For more information, email j.p.barnes@tcu.edu or traci.clayton@tcu.edu.
Programming Council is a great way to get involved on campus. Where else are you given the freedom and resources to produce events that impact the whole TCU community? For more information once school starts, be sure to attend one of our PC meetings at the beginning of the semester. Once you’ve found what you want to help out with, a committee is the perfect place to learn more about how to plan events and get more involved. We have lots of great events coming this fall, like Family Weekend, Homecoming and Holidays at TCU! Now is a great time to join programming council and truly impact the TCU campus. For more information, email kennedy.stewart@tcu.edu.
House of Student Representatives
House is the voice of the student body. As a member of House, you will be empowered to seek out student opinions, develop a solution, and write/debate legislation designed to improve the TCU experience. Whether you choose to run for office or serve on a committee, in House, your opinion always counts. Elections for first-year positions and vacancies occur each fall; the general election is held each April. All students, elected or not, are invited to serve on one of the six House committees: Academic Affairs, Campus Advancement, Dining Services, Elections & Regulations, Finance, and Student Relations. House meetings are open to everyone and are held at 5pm every Tuesday in the University Union Governance Chambers. For more information, email m.e.pittman@tcu.edu.
