Activities Funding Board - funding for Spring 2010
*application information at bottom of this page*
The Activities Funding Board is a group within SGA, consisting of 10 students, that allocates money to recognized student organizations on campus. We have $35,000 this semester to allocate to student organizations. AFB convenes at the end of the spring semester to allocate money for events or funding needed in the upcoming fall semester only.
The process for obtaining funding starts by filling out an application online on sga.tcu.edu by 5pm on Wednesday, November 4. Once your application is received you will be able to sign up for a presentation time on November 5 (starting at 9am) through November 6 (closing at 5pm). Presentations will be held the week of November 9. The presentation is viewed by at least 3 members of the Board and is your chance to demonstrate to the Board your need for funding. Finally, we will notify you of our decision by November 20.
If you have applied for funding in the past we would like to notify you of some changes that are taking place starting with this allocation process.
1. Requirement of Receipts: Groups are required to submit receipts accounting for Fall 2009 AFB allocations, unless you didn’t receive any. SGA will keep a history for 2 years of receipts, which will be used in consideration for future funding. The AFB Usage Report is what you will use to account for your money. Groups who submit receipts showing how all funds were spent will be given priority in funding.
2. Co-Programming is now part of AFB: Organizations that are interested in obtaining money for co-programming with PC must now apply through AFB for this money. If an organization is awarded money through co-programming, the newly appointed Co-Programming Chair will contact you.
We look forward to hearing your plans for the coming semester. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at m.l.figueroa@tcu.edu. We look forward to helping fund your organization.
