In addition to the numerous educational and networking opportunities provided during the Summit, delegates will also experience the culture of the North Texas area. Guests will be treated to an authentic Mexican food meal at Fort Worth’s legendary, 1,000+ seat, Joe T. Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant.
Delegates will experience the city’s cultural district by dining and attending a private gallery viewing in the 53,000 square foot Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The museum’s forty-foot-high transparent walls of glass framed in metal provide breathtaking views of the large reflecting pond, outdoor sculpture, and the landscaped grounds.
The Fort Worth/Dallas metroplex is home to many
professional sports teams including the Texas
Rangers baseball club. This American League
franchise plays in Arlington, next door to the new
home of the Dallas Cowboys and just twenty minutes
from TCU. The Texas Rangers, established in
1961, was previously owned and managed by President
George W. Bush. Well-known former Rangers
include Nolan Ryan, Alex Rodriguez, and Juan
Gonzalez.
As a feature of the Inaugural Summit, the franchise
will host delegates for a special tour and
discussion on leadership on Friday afternoon at the
Ballpark. Dale Petroskey, Executive Vice
President of Marketing and Community Development
will be speaking to the delegates on leadership and
his unique experiences. In addition to his
work with the Rangers, he has served as the
president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and
Museum, an executive with the National Geographic
Society, and an Assistant Press Secretary to
President Ronald Reagan.
These events will allow delegates time to build
relationships, share ideas, and see how Fort Worth
shapes TCU and the Mountain West.
